Before you pursue weight loss surgery, it is essential that you learn as much as you can about the procedure and how it will affect your body and lifestyle.

You should bring your spouse or other support person with you. Much of the seminar is spent discussing not only potential benefits of surgery, but also possible complications and risks. We also discuss the help you may need after surgery. The more your support person knows about this operation, the more he or she can help.

It is very important that you know as much as you can before considering a surgical approach to the management of obesity. For that reason attendance at one of these seminars is mandatory for acceptance of your application for surgical consideration.

Directions
From I-85:
Take Duke Street exit north. Proceed approximately 2 miles to Crutchfield Street. Turn right and the hospital is on the right.

From Roxboro:
Take 501 south to Durham. Follow 501 to Duke Street, then follow Duke Street to Crutchfield Street. Turn left and the hospital is on the right.

Due to construction on I-85, please allow extra travel time.

Convenient parking is provided at no charge.
